Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I haven't posted for a really long time, and while my intentions were to post every wonderful minute of our Holiday season, please know that we were too busy having a fantastic Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year to do anything but enjoy eachother, extended family, and good friends.
Since the New Year, we have been back to normal, but keeping very busy. Here's a few things that have happened thus far in 2010!

After lots of hardwork on Zachary's, great Scout leaders, and
Moms part Zach got his Wolf in Cub Scouts. Good job bubs!

Our beautiful ballerina, Ashlynn was in the performance
"Carnival of the Animals". She was both an elephant and a
mermaid, and she was fantastic. This performance consisted of one dress rehearsal and 2 nights of performing. Lynnie took things very serious and we wouldn't be surprised if she ended up on Broadway some day.

Our Saturday's have also been filled with Zach's Jr. Jazz games. He is really loving playing the game and works very, very hard for his team. It was so sweet, after his second game of the season was over he came off the court with tears in his eyes and said "Mom, we lost and I didn't make any baskets". As a mom it was heartbreaking, but dad used it as a learning moment and explained to him that it takes lots of hard work and practice to get good enough to finally start making baskets and that most great things in life come after lots of hard work and lots of failures.

Well, his hard work finally paid off because last week he made his first basket!!! He was so proud of himself. The only sad part was that mom wasn't able to be at this game and missed the proud moment. That's ok, I have a feeling there will be lots more for mom to witness.
